Locks 4 Vans partners with Cab Screens Crescent Yamaha motocross team

We are very excited to announce that L4V has joined the team at Cab Screens Crescent Yamaha as their latest Premier Partner. With van attacks on the sharp increase, Locks 4 Vans was invited into the fold to help the team protect what is precious – their bikes! As the leaders in van security, we plan to be at events across the country to chat to riders about what they can do to upgrade their van security as they travel to races.

Locks 4 Vans unveils new security range for the Volkswagen ID. Buzz

The team were thrilled to have the ‘van of the moment’ in our Innovation Centre recently to get a closer look at this new electric vehicle. As with any van, there are always opportunities to upgrade vehicle security against the latest attack methods, so we set to work on a new suite of products bespoke to ID. Buzz. 

We worked through several challenges during the development journey. Due to the composite materials used for electric vans, we needed to adjust how we fitted our solutions in terms of location and bracketry so that we didn’t compromise functionality. The team were also conscious to ensure that the finished design of our products were sympathetic to the visual ‘look and feel’ of the van’s iconic style.  

The result is a blend of solutions that work together to provide the optimum security upgrade with an impressive aesthetic.  On the rear of the van, L4V designed a hook locking solution for the tailgate doors. We also manufactured a protective window shield due to the glazed rear window on the tailgate model. To complete the security range, L4V designed a custom-made anti-peel kit for the ID.Buzz which dramatically reduces the risk of the growing ‘peel and steal’ attack method on side loading doors.

New LCV registrations ended last year down by 20.6% according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). Performance continued to be held back by persistent supply chain issues, resulting in limited model availability.

L4V delivers emergency key service with the AA

Locks 4 Vans is excited to be working with the AA to deliver a new initiative that will offer our customers even more peace of mind.

We are now providing a nationwide service for anyone that has lost their key or are locked out of their van. Delivered by the AA, we have launched a dedicated Locks 4 Vans phone number for customers to contact for an emergency call out. There are a variety of ways we can help get a customer back into their van, from cutting a new key at the roadside to replacing the lock cylinder as a last resort. Whatever the solution, our aim is to help customers minimise downtime and get them back on the road.

The next generation Slamhandle is here...

L4V is proud to be at the forefront of innovation and we’ve been working on an upgrade to our slamhandle security product. Eagerly awaited, this solution confidently challenges existing slamhandle products in the market and is aimed at the multi-drop and logistics market.

Our new L4V Premium Slamhandle follows the design of the original OE door handle but adds a significant upgrade in terms of slam shut functionality. Security is further enhanced through our innovative locking and shielding engineering. With simplicity in mind, the new L4V Premium Slamhandle can be fitted to vehicles without the need to drill any additional holes, which will appeal to Fleet Managers that are looking to upgrade leased vehicles. Great news for installers too, as it allows for quick and simple fitting to vehicles.

And that’s not all, the new L4V Premium Slamhandle can be ordered to match the paint colour and not distract from the overall look of the vehicle.

This new product will be available for the Citroen Dispatch 16>, Peugeot Expert 16>, Toyota Proace 16> and Vauxhall Vivaro 19>.
