Locks 4 Vans at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2022

Locks 4 Vans has an exciting experience planned for visitors to our CV Show stand this year. Forging ahead on vehicle security, our stand has tripled in size so we can offer our visitors and customers even more opportunity to get ‘hands-on’ with our award-winning products.

The L4V stand will feature three electric vans so we can deliver on-vehicle security demonstrations. These three popular vehicles will showcase our full suite of locking and shielding solutions. L4V’s solutions for electric and hybrid vehicles are in high demand, and we are on hand to discuss our security options for these vehicles. We provide bespoke kits for manufacturers including Nissan, Maxus, Citroen, Mercedes, Peugeot, Vauxhall and VW, offering our customers a flexible and inclusive approach to their vehicle security.

We are excited to be launching a range of new products this year too, including our full range of Anti-Peel solutions. Our Innovation Team has been busy improving and extending our existing product range to cover even more vehicles, and as a result we now have the widest range of Anti-Peels on the market to share with you.

In addition to security products for LCV’s, Locks for Vans will be revealing our next generation of cargo locking solutions. Targeted at heavy duty, trailer and box-body applications, our highly anticipated security products will occupy an area on our stand dedicated to cargo solutions. Our latest solution has been tested to minus 20 degrees and has been developed for refrigerated vehicles.

Visit Locks 4 Vans on stand 5E70 to discover our ‘go-to’ security solutions for 2022. Don’t miss our giveaway guide to the latest vehicle attacks and how to prevent them, plus we have some exciting news to share when you arrive at the NEC!

L4V sponsors Sports2000 Championship for 2022

Locks 4 Vans is excited to sponsor The Sports Car Racing Car Club (SRCC) for 2022.

What draws us together is a shared ethos around innovation and continuous improvement. Locks 4 Vans recently won the coveted WhatVan award showcasing innovation, as a result of our £2.5 million investment into our on-site R&D centre in Kent. This centre drives innovation for the industry and makes us a dynamic partner. We are thrilled to sponsor a team who enjoys pushing boundaries as much as we do.

Chris Batterbee, MD at Locks 4 Vans adds “Innovation is not something you do, it is a mindset. With a van broken into every 23 minutes, our mission has always been to stay one step ahead, and our pace of innovation delivers exactly that. Our customers trust our reputation and our products.  We have been involved with the Sports Racing Car Club since 2020 and are now taking our relationship to the next level.  Sponsoring both the Duratec and Pinto Sports2000 Championship is an exciting opportunity for us to support each other. Like in motorsport, we never sit still and are continually looking to optimise what we do. We recognise this shared ethos in Sports2000 and look forward to working together to inspire each other in our respective fields”.

Nick Bates, Chairman of SRCC “To extend and deepen Locks 4 Vans relationship with Sports2000 is great news.  We are very much looking forward to being a part of Locks 4 Vans marketing strategy and exploring other avenues of collaboration.  We already have very strong entries for both the Duratec and Pinto championships this year, so are looking forward to more close and competitive racing plus welcoming back having four Pinto only races where we hope to have 20-25 of those fabulous historic cars of the late 1970s / early 1980s racing as hard as ever.”

L4V shortlisted in FSB Awards

Locks 4 Vans is delighted to be shortlisted for the FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards.

We have been selected as a South East finalist for the Business and Product Innovation category and hope to impress the judges with our advanced approach to pushing boundaries in our market.

Locks 4 Vans has made a significant commitment in expanding our Research & Development capability, and our newly launched ‘state of the art’ Innovation Centre underpins our ability to rapidly respond to market requirements.

Wish us luck!

L4V wins WhatVan? Innovation Award!

We are extremely proud to have won the Innovation category at this year’s WhatVan? Awards and would like to congratulate the whole L4V team for helping to make this happen.

Locks 4 Vans has made a significant commitment in expanding its Research & Development capability in the past 12 months. We have invested £2.5 million into creating a ‘state of the art’ Innovation Centre at our HQ in Gravesend, Kent which supersedes our previous facility.

The purpose of the Innovation Centre is to anticipate attack methods and to deliver cutting edge security solutions to mitigate the risk of theft for our customers. We now have the in-house capability to rapid-prototype new ideas which is a game changer for Locks 4 Vans and significantly reduces the new product development lead time.

However, for Locks 4 Vans this is more than a cutting-edge workshop and new R&D centre, it recognises a cultural shift towards innovation that is at the heart of the business. Every member of the team is focused on the opportunity to push boundaries. This makes us a dynamic partner for like-minded companies that are also looking for a responsive, forward-thinking business to solve their vehicle security challenges.

Chris Batterbee, MD at Locks 4 Vans adds “Innovation is not something you do, it is a mindset. As a team, we have found many ways to thread this concept into everything we stand for, which has resulted in us ultimately being able to reduce the lead time for solving a van security problem from months to just days. We know this is critical for our customers, and we are committed to a pace of innovation that our competitors are not capable of. We feel this award showcases our unrelenting drive to minimise criminal attacks and our unique way of achieving it”.

NEW Anti-Peel Kit for Ford Custom barn door

Locks 4 Vans has just released the NEW high L4V Hook Lock + Anti-Peel Kit for the popular Ford Custom. This has been developed as an upgrade to the standalone high L4V Hook Lock. By combining both the Hook Lock and Anti-Peel elements into a 'one-piece kit' means the risk of door peeling can be dramatically reduced.

Fitted to the barn door, the robust Anti-Peel plate re-enforces the inside edge of the door whilst the built-in Hook Lock provides added security. This ‘dream team’ combination also has the added benefit of keeping the barn door secure should the central locking system become disabled.

Manufactured from stainless steel, this easy to install kit is available in a powder coated black finish.

Jason Fletcher, Technical Manager at L4V comments: “Peel and steal attacks are a perpetual problem, and whilst our Hook Lock works hard to mitigate this issue the development team here at L4V are always proactively looking at how we can improve our offering and stay one step ahead of thieves. This is a game-changing product – simple in its concept but highly effective”.

With ‘peel and steal’ attacks on the rise, this product can help mitigate further challenges faced by Fleet Managers relating to the process of replacing damaged doors. The known supply chain issues for panel availability are causing delays and downtime for fleets, and this product can help avoid this frustrating and expensive problem.

An average of 20,000 individual cases of vehicle break-ins are reported to police forces across the UK each year, with the estimated cost of replacement tools and equipment standing at £15 million a year*. With an innovative and inexpensive product like this, improving the security of your vehicle just got a lot easier.

Anti-Peel Kit variation: this has also been adapted to work with a pre-existing L4V Hook lock in a mid position. Please specify this version when ordering.

* Research by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles which included a Freedom of Information request, 34 of 47 police forces across UK responded.
