L4V’s recent appointment as the security partner for LEVC showcases this capability and our drive to push boundaries, particularly for Electric Vehicles.

This substantial investment into our Innovation Centre enables us to continue to anticipate and solve the challenges we face as an industry, putting us at the forefront of aftermarket vehicle security.

Locks 4 Vans is pleased to announce the launch of a new range of security products for the Maxus brand. Building on our existing portfolio of solutions for electric and hybrid vehicles, we can now offer aftermarket locking kits for the eDeliver 3 and eDeliver 9 van models.

Both vehicles are increasing in popularity with delivery and courier companies, and L4V’s Innovation Team has now delivered a suite of products that will enhance security for fleets and drivers.

The Maxus eDeliver 3 is one of the first electric vans to be designed as an electric vehicle from the ground up. The use of aluminium, high-strength steel and composite materials are essential in keeping the weight of the vehicle down. With this in mind, L4V’s Hooklock solution for the eDeliver 3 is both compatible and sympathetic to this challenge.

The eDeliver 9 is also available as a diesel variant, and rivals LCV’s such as the VW Crafter, Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit. You can now purchase a Slamlock solution for both the electric and the diesel variant of this van to protect the load area, which safeguards the driver in forgetting to lock the doors.

We’ve been working closely with AJ Vehicle Solutions, a leading business in the West Midlands that helps companies establish their fleets. Delighted to be the first to offer these solutions to their clients, Managing Director Anthony Jones comments “Working with Locks 4 Vans has been a seamless experience. I approached them with a requirement for an aftermarket security solution for these vehicles as nothing currently exists. We delivered the vehicles to their Innovation Centre in Kent and within days they had a working solution specified, produced and ready to fit to our client’s fleet. We are absolutely delighted to win the Aftermarket Accessories Award category at this year’s WhatVan? Awards. It has been a great opportunity for us to showcase our leading security solutions and we are proud to be recognised for our efforts in driving innovation for the industry.

One of the most vital considerations for operators having made an initial purchasing decision is how to enhance or maintain their light commercial vehicles once they have left the showroom. This award category gave us the opportunity to demonstrate how our sought-after locking and shielding solutions deliver considerable benefits to the sector.

It has been a challenging year and L4V has risen to the challenges presented by the Pandemic. We have been a key partner to courier and logistics companies to protect fleets as they deliver high value items to support those working from home. Our products are also commissioned by BFS Group to ensure the UK’s largest food distributor can operate securely across its network and meet demand. Furthermore, due to our capability and product quality, we were also chosen to support a critical project for the NHS. As part of the supply chain, our locks were specified to secure vehicles carrying gas canisters and ventilators to hospitals during the first wave of the Pandemic. Responding to a lead time of just 24 hours, our team mobilised to ensure we could support the secure transportation of these highly targeted items.

This award recognises that our impressive product portfolio is the result of our unrivalled design, research and development facility. Having invested £2.5million this year to extend our capability further, L4V is entirely committed to producing rapid game-changing solutions for our customers.
